Get a taste of BreakBread!
Just because you splurge for a team-building experience
doesn’t mean you are building meaningful relationships and moving toward a culture of trust.
Why ?
Because of the conversation!
American culture says: stay on the surface, hide feelings, and defer to power. And how often have you been in a conversation where the same people dominate the conversation and the conversation is rote and predictable?
Conversation is complicated and where ego, “othering,” status, and aggression can unconsciously (or consciously) show up.
If you want to build a culture of trust…
You need to intentionally and skillfully create space and conditions for meaningful regenerative conversation to unfold by…
Inviting
If people are going to give you their trust it needs to be of their own volition. It is not up to us to demand their trust but rather to live up to it. That starts with the invitation to show up as who you are.
The BreakBread table welcomes all to the table knowing that we all show up laden with gifts.
Nurturing
Building trust is a practice that happens at a human scale. It takes time and requires us to nurture our relationships. We express how we value one another through our presence, respect, and compassion.
BreakBread facilitates conversation as a practice to weave trusting relationships.
Nourishing
As trust grows people feel a greater sense of safety and belonging. This is deeply nourishing to our growth and well-being not to mention, the success of your organization.
There’s no mistake that our programs take place while enjoying the nourishment of delicious food and good company.
And this is the power of BreadBread!
BreakBread is a bold values statement that says taking time away from work to slow down, connect, and invite hearts and minds to open through food and meaningful conversation is important.
What is a BreakBread Leadership Experience?
Either in person or virtually, for two hours you and 3-5 colleagues are invited to experience a quiet oasis where you show up as you are –– to listen, share, laugh, and connect, enjoying one another’s presence and company. Each dinner revolves around a carefully crafted prompt that cuts past tiresome small talk. Every gathering is different, every conversation unique. Sometimes it’s deep, sometimes it’s light, sometimes it’s like stumbling upon an unexpected vista of inspiration that lingers long after the meal is done.
I’m intrigued!
How does it work?
Having facilitated hundreds of BreakBread experiences, our process is powerful yet easy to implement.
We schedule 2-3 pre-BreakBread sessions to think and plan together. We develop a purpose, a guest list, a prompt, and the logistics. Then Culture Shift Agency will guide you through the invitation process and then facilitate. We follow up with a Dinner Summary and a debrief meeting.
